Since I started practicing acupuncture in 2000, I've had the thought - wow, it would be so cool to combine acupuncture and hypnotherapy. And now, it's in the news! Dr. Andrew Weil of complementary medicine fame talks about the subject in a Q&A format for The Vancouver Sun newspaper. Apparently, one study and several case reports have been published. More research on the synergistic effects of the two modalities needs to be done in order for any conclusive results - to satisfy our scientific minds - but my intuition says that they would work magic together.
